Who or what is a transsexual?

A transsexual is a man or woman who suffers from a dysfunctional belief system called Gender Dysphoria and believes he or she is the opposite sex trapped in the wrong gender body.

I am aware that by calling transesxualism a dysfunctional belief system I risk angering the gay, lesbian, and transgendered community, so be it.

There is no reliable evidence anywhere that Gender Dysphoria is anything more than a dysfunctional belief system.

Belief systems can be healed and changed.

For the most part transsexuals live in a fantasy world.  They are neither male or female and have no clue what it means to be a genetic male or female. The only male or female image a transsexual can present to the world is their interpretation of what they think a male or female looks and acts like.

Most transsexuals believe that they can live "stealth" as their chosen gender and not be "made" by the rest of us.  This is pure wishful thinking and another fantasy. At best a transsexual is a pseudo man or woman and if they have any ongoing relationships with natural men and women they are "made" very quickly. What transsexuals who think they are living "stealth" do not understand is that most people are simply too polite to let on that they know.

Some websites document "successful" transsexuals. Be wary of these claims and research the evidence. The majority of "successful" transsexuals are either involved in the transgendered community and support groups, run their own websites and receive payment and donations, or are entertainers or people with professions that they can continue if they change their location or clientele. Dr. Renee Richards, a Dentist, is a good example of a convertible profession.

The story presented by transsexual websites, individuals, and groups that transsexuals who undergo sexual reassignment surgery live happy and fulfilling lives is pure fiction.

If your transsexual is not a professional entertainer, engaged in a convertible profession, or is highly educated, his or her profession and work choices will become severely limited. They can and will experience rejection by employers and will most likely live an isolated, low income lifestyle. Over 80% of the people who have transitioned live in reduced, often isolated circumstances since their transition.
